Because St Andrew’s Skegby was usually held jointly with another benefice for most of its history (latterly with Mansfield Woodhouse St Edmund’s) establishing who served it remains problematic. The names of some early curates are known but it is difficult to distinguish between those who were perpetual curates (i.e. vicars) of Mansfield Woodhouse and the curates they in turn employed.
