Besthorpe Holy Trinity

Grave marker to
Eileen Hunt (1943)
The north-western
section of the churchyard

The churchyard is square in shape with the church offset towards the north-east corner, and the village hall to the north side. There are burials on all sides.

The boundaries comprise a low brick wall, partially with iron railings, to the east fronting onto Low Road, adjacent buildings to the south, a low brick wall and the village hall to the north, and a hedge to the west.

There is a grave marker to Lance Corporal Eileen Hunt of the Auxiliary Territorial Service (A.T.S.) who was one of several women killed at their hostel during a German bombing raid on Great Yarmouth on 11 May 1943.
