Clock dedication Second World War
plaque

Wysall is a very unusual village in that none of its sons were killed in the First World War. In thanksgiving for this fact the village erected the church clock. A plaque near the door of the church acknowledges the fact, and names those who served (see the Clock section for further details).

Near the clock dedication is a plaque to James Robert Elding, a pilot in the RAF Voluntary Reserve, who was killed during the Second World War.
