Monuments and Memorials

Chancel

On the north side (to the east) is the elaborate 14th century-style alabaster canopied tomb of Sir John Robinson, containing a recumbent marble figure and signed 'Albert Toft Sc 1930'. The alabaster came from a quarry at Chellaston, near Derby, and the tomb was dedicated in October 1931.

The inscription reads:

THE BUILDER AND FOUNDER OF THIS CHURCH.
BORN JULY 8th 1839
DIED MARCH 11th 1929.

Also on the north side (to the west) are two stone wall plaques, both bearing coloured arms at the top.

John Lynn Eason, chorister, who fell fighting for his country Sept. 2nd 1918.

George Hind MBE, member of St Anne's choir 1920-1990

Harold Armitage choir member for 70 years from 1912-1982

North chancel chapel

On the centre of the wall is a metal plaque within a wooden surround bearing the inscription:
