Ravenshead
St Peter

Organ

The organ pipes (currently disused) have a plaque that reads:

This organ was given
in loving memory of
Clive Cecil Harrison 1943-1960
chorister and server
in the former Church of
St Peter’s Larch Farm

This was a single manual instrument in use from the time the church was dedicated in 1972.

There is a Roland electric piano with plaque inscribed:

This piano is dedicated to the memory of Kate Bradbury, a much loved member of St. Peter’s Gilbert and Sullivan Society who died 31st July 1986 aged 27

Roland Allegiant
678 organ

In January 2009 a new two manual electronic organ was installed, this being an Allegiant 678 made by Roland in the USA installed by Rodgers of Swansea.

As well as the standard organ stops, the midi system will produce piano, harpsichord and string sounds. A data recorder can reproduce music enabling a service to be held with no instrumentalist.

Sound comes from four speakers; two are visible on the wall behind the pipes from the original organ, which have been retained for decoration, and two behind the pipes. Also there are a pair of “sub-woofers” located in the recess next to the choir stalls, to provide the necessary depth of sound.
