Low Marnham
St Wilfrid

Churchyard

The churchyard is rectangular in shape and sits in the very centre of the village with narrow roads running around all sides. The church is positioned approximately centrally within the churchyard, and all is aligned east-west.

There are burials on all sides of the church.

The boundary to all four sides of the churchyard comprises managed hedges through which are entrances at the north-east and south sides. There are some mature trees, especially on the east and north sides, but also to the south and west.

A single, large dwelling, apparently of 18th century or earlier date, exists to the west of the church and may speculatively represent the site of the medieval vicarage.
