In 1552 there were 3 bells and in 1740 4 bells.

Of the previous ring, prior to the fire, the tenor was by Henry Oldfield and dated 1608, it was inscribed: 'When you hear my mournful sound prepare yourself to lie in ground 1608.'

One of the other bells was cast by George Oldfield in 1667.

In 1842 there is a record of rehanging when Josh Cox was paid £14 9s. 8d. for his work.

The bellframe was formerly a timber frame, Elphick type Z Pickford Group 6.A, for 5 bells with the addition of two large A frames on ther top cills. The low frame dated from the rehanging in 1875 and the upper frames from 1956. This was all replaced by a high-sided steel frame, Pickford Group 8.1.F, in 2009 by Hayward Mills.
