Features and Fittings

Font

Stone, hexagonal, leaf mouldings, 3' 11" high. Oak cover bearing the Latin inscription; Ad gloriam Dei, et In piam memoriam Mariae Dennis. The font is a copy of the one at Barnack, Northants.

Altars

One in the chancel of dark oak, one in the nave of light oak, one in the lady chapel of light oak.

Lectern

There is an intricately carved wooden lectern

Benches etc

Four light oak choir stalls, two each side, in the east end of the nave, separated from the congregation by light oak rails 2' 2" high. Choir stalls given in memory of Francis Greenfield Skerritt 1877-1966, a chorister over 60 years.

Seating in the nave and lady chapel is on oak chairs fitted in rows of 8,6 or 4, to a total of approx. 250.

Millennium Hanging

A large appliqué-work hanging is currently displayed on the west wall of the nave.
