Chancel

1.The north window of the chancel shows the Adoration of the Magi.

2.The East window.

3.The window at the east end of the south wall of the chancel.

4.

The westernmost window in the south wall of the chancel shows the following saints: St Phillip, St Bartholomew, St Peter, St Andrew, St James, St Thaddeus, St Matthew, St Thomas, St James, St John, St Matthias and St Simon.

South Aisle

5.The window at the east end of the south aisle was produced by Kempe and Co. of London and depicts the centurion's confession of faith before the crucified Christ. It was installed in 1924 and is dedicated to Lt Colonel George Brentam Laurie who was killed 12 March 1915 at the battle of Neuve Chapelle and who, in a letter to his wife dated 24 November 1914, wrote:

‘If anything happens to me on this expedition, I should like that small window looking on our pew, representing the Bishop of York's figure, etc., etc., to be filled in to my memory; and, curiously enough, I think the Penitent Thief always one of the greatest heroes in the Bible; for he must have had enormous faith to believe when he was in such a bad way himself.’

The brass plaque beneath reads:

AND AS AN UNFADING TRIBUTE

6. The lancet window to the west of Window 5 depicts St Paulinus.

7.The lancet window to the west of Window 6 contains a roundel of coloured glass depicting ears of wheat.

8.The west window of the south aisle shows Mary and Jesus.

Tower

9.

The uppermost glazed window in the west wall of the tower contains decorative stained glass.

The window below Window 9 in the west wall depicts St Paul with the keys of Heaven and St Peter with a sword and book.
