Boughton St Matthew

Organ

The original organ was the gift of Mr Pickin and built by Messrs Lewis of London.

The replacement organ, by Vincent of Sunderland, is of a hand bellows type, the workings of which are largely still in existence although altered to accommodate a more modern electrical air-pumping arrangement.

The system is in reasonable order with maintenance undertaken at various times by specialist contractors.

A full technical description is available on the National Pipe Organ Register website.
