Stonework

The church is built from dressed stone and ashlar with ashlar dressings, coursed rubble, and slate roofs.

It is largely constructed of dressed blocks and ashlar of white and off-white Magnesian Limestone.  Lincs. Limestone (orange-weathering) features in south porch and E. end, and in chancel plinth.  The north side of the chancel is coursed Skerry Sandstone rubble with some Lincolnshire Limestone blocks.  The ashlar dressings are Magnesian Limestone, with some Lincolnshire Limestone.
