Chancel

The east window is by Kempe and dates to c.1902. It shows the Crucifixion and is dedicated to the Rev Augustus Carey.

The inscription reads:

In Honour of the Atonement
of Our Lord Jesus Christ
and in memory of the Rev
Augustus Dobree Carey
vicar of this parish 39 years
this window is dedicated by
his widow Beatrice Carey
A.D. 1902.

South Chapel

The east window of the South Chapel depicts, from left to right: St Stephen, St Alban and St Agatha.

A brass plaque below the window reads:

To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Bluebell Mary Talbot
Baines * died 23 Sept 1898 aged 23 * also of Lancelot Oswald
Talbot Baines Lieutenant East Lancashire Regiment died in
South Africa in the service of his country 4 March 1902 aged 24

At the eastern end of the south wall of the chapel there is a memorial window to Fanny Talbot Baines who died in 1908. The light on the left shows St Gregory, the centre light depicts St Hilda holding a model of Whitby Abbey and the light on the right shows St Paul.

The inscription reads:

Giving thanks to God for the beloved memory of Fanny
Talbot Baines who died January 8th 1908, this window
is dedicated by her mother, brothers and sisters.

At the western end of the south wall of the chapel there is a memorial window to Major Cecil Talbot Baines who was killed in 1917. Baines was aboard the S.S. Arcadian which was transporting troops from Salonika to Alexandria when, on the 15 April 1917, it was hit by a torpedo from a German submarine. Although rescued from the ship he died from his injuries 11 days later.

The left-hand light shows St Edmund with below a seated angel playing a lute; the centre light depicts St George with below a seated angel playing a harp in front of a lectern bearing a bible; the right-hand light depicts St Martin with below a seated angel playing a stringed instrument.

The inscription reads:

To the dear memory of

Country on April 26th 1917,

North Aisle

At the west end of the north wall there is a window in memory of a former vicar of Bawtry parish church, the Rev Arthur Meredith:

These words are here inscribed in loving memory of Arthur Evan Meredith
Vicar of Bawtry 1898-1913, born 1852 died 1927.

The maker's mark is for Kempe & Co. post 1907.
